WANTED: Volunteers to Unearth Old Eryholme

Do you fancy helping Tees Archaeology conduct a survey of the medieval earthworks at Eryholme? Why not come along and find out what is under the lumps and bumps of the old village and old hall?

Field work, using equipment brought along by Tees Archaeology, will be on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October, but before that there will be a workshop in Dalton Village hall on Wednesday 3rd October. You can be with us every day or just one: you don’t have to have gone to the workshop to turn up on Friday or Saturday. And all the family is welcome.

Further information is available either from

Tony Pollard (ajpollard1@hotmail.com), or

Tees Archaeology (teesarchaeology@hartlepool.gov.uk)

Application to Tees Archaeology, stating which days, should be made on line at above address or by post to Sir William Gray House, Clarence Road, Hartlepool, TS24 8BT). Numbers are limited, so book early if you want to make sure.
